If you only have time to read one or two of these books, I would still highly recommend it. The books for entrepreneurs listed below really changed the way that I approach entrepreneurship and taught us *a lot* of things about myself and the way I run my business. These books are definite must-reads and I revisit them often.

✧ GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso

This book is worth the hype. First of all, I love Sophia. I’ve loved Nasty Gal as a brand before I ever even knew who Sophia was and that she was the awesome founder. Once I heard (read?) her story, I couldn’t get enough.

I follow Sophia on multiple social media networks and listen to her podcast pretty religiously. Sophia is so smart and the true definition of a ruthless entrepreneur. She never let her current situation affect how she looked at her life and aspirations. She is very transparent in this book and tells you exactly how she went from selling clothes on eBay to building a huge, expansive empire.

✧ Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert

I listened to this one as an audiobook once and listened to the whole book within one single day – it was that good!

This book helped to expand my vision for my business and what I could achieve. After reading this book, you’ll feel empowered and ready to step into your greatness.

✧ Leave Your Mark: Land Your Dream Job. Kill It in Your Career. Rock Social Media by Aliza Licht

I received this book as a birthday present and was attracted to the pretty cover art. Yes, I’m guilty of judging a book by the cover.

However, in this situation, it turned out to be in my favor. This book really helped me jumpstart my freelance career back when I was in college, specifically because of the way the book caters towards social media lovers. It’s easy and light to read, but has solid content and tips throughout. I would recommend this to anyone who is curious about digital marketing and how to build a brand online through the power of social media.

✧ You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero

Jen Sincero deserves to be fanned with palm leaves and fed grapes for the rest of her days because of this book. Quite possibly my most favorite book on this list, You Are a Badass helps you connect to “source energy” and really get the most out of the awesome life you have been given.

Jen is HILARIOUS, and I would often find myself laughing out loud while reading this book. 

✧ Crushing It! How Great Entrepreneurs Build Their Business and Influence-and How You Can, Too by Gary Vaynerchuk

If you’re looking for motivation as an entrepreneur or need guidelines for how to navigate the online media space as a business owner, this book is for you. 

Reading this book, I quickly fell in love with Gary’s no-nonsense and tough love attitude towards entrepreneurship. He doesn’t let his readers make excuses for why they aren’t succeeding, which is refreshing. I also loved this book as it has interviews from successful entrepreneurs throughout it that break up Gary’s writing and show how real people applied principles Gary teaches about. This book is packed with value and it’s become a standby for me and I recommend it to others frequently.
